Anna’s story

Anna is 61, and she had spent years chasing the same problem around the UK. Old crowns kept coming loose, the cement failed again and again, and every repair bought her a little more time rather than an answer. She also had a bridge across the front which never looked right, because it carried a false prosthetic gum line that stood out whenever she smiled.

She started at our Leeds office rather than in Turkey. She met the team, had x-rays taken and went through what could realistically be done before committing to anything.

The plan was to stop patching and start again. Over two trips to Antalya, the old crowns and the front bridge came out, dental implants replaced the teeth she was missing, and the whole thing was rebuilt with new zirconia crowns in a natural design, shade BL3, a shade chosen to suit her face rather than to be as white as possible.

The false gum line is gone, nothing comes loose any more, and the smile she has now looks like it belongs to her.

Why it suited Anna: Anna’s brief was a smile that suited her face rather than one that was as white as possible. BL3 is clearly brighter than untreated teeth, but its warmth sits comfortably against her dark hair and skin tone and holds up in daylight rather than looking flat.

Centrals a touch longer than the laterals, softly rounded corners, canines with a gentle point and a smile line that curves with your lip. Small differences between teeth are kept on purpose: that is what reads as real.
Soft

Rounded, gentle, friendly

Fuller, more oval teeth with rounded edges all the way along and no sharp corners anywhere. The smile line curves gently and the canines are softened rather than pointed. Warm rather than striking.
Hollywood

Square, straight, bold

Squarer teeth with straight edges, all the same length, sitting in a flat, even line. Corners are crisp and the canines are squared off to match. Symmetrical and unmistakably done, for people who want the change to show.

Each tooth is shaped with the small variations real teeth have: slightly rounded corners, a soft curve along the smile line and a little translucency at the biting edges. The result looks like a great version of your own teeth rather than a row of identical white blocks.

Why it suited Anna: After years of crowns and a front bridge that never looked quite right, Anna wanted teeth that simply looked real. The natural design keeps the edges soft and slightly translucent, so the rebuilt smile reads as her own.
