Kelsey’s story
Kelsey came to us knowing exactly what she did not want: her teeth filed down. That worry stops a lot of people going ahead at all, and it is a fair one, because crowns need a good amount of the natural tooth removed to make room for them.
Laminate veneers work the other way round. They are wafer-thin shells bonded to the front of the tooth, so the preparation is measured in fractions of a millimetre rather than reshaping the whole tooth. Kelsey chose Emax for hers: a glass ceramic strong enough to be made that thin, which also catches the light the way enamel does instead of looking flat.
The result is the look she was after with almost all of her own tooth still underneath it.
